What I See I Am
“and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Wow, here again it uses the word “shall” as an absolute describing where I am (dwell), “in the house of the Lord..”
It doesn’t say that I have to be good, ask forgiveness, perform worship, meditate, do pushups or anything else as a prerequisite to get in the house of the Lord. It says no matter what, I dwell in the house of the Lord, and for how long, “Forever”, through eternity. Not just a couple of days, or until someone else who may be better than I am comes along. No, I am in God’s house forever.
I dwell in the “house of the Lord” that means I eat with God, sleep with God, watch TV with God, brush my teeth with God. That means that all that I do, I do with God, no matter what anyone else might think or judge, and I do all of the activities there is to do with God forever. Not even until the end of my life as I know it or the end of time, but forever. I shall never have a time when I am not with God, because I dwell in God’s house and it will always be so.
And So Do You.
The Twenty Third Psalm
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He
leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths
of righteousness for His name' sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table
before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup
runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell
in the House of the Lord forever.
